The Brown Pelican is a large seabird found in coastal areas of Jamaica. It has a distinctive dark brown body with white head and neck, and a long, curved bill. They are skilled divers and can plunge from great heights into the water to catch fish. Brown Pelicans are also known for their ability to soar gracefully on thermal currents. They can be spotted flying low over the water, often in large groups. In Jamaica, they can be seen along the coastline and on small offshore islands.
