European Starling

The European Starling is a medium-sized bird, measuring around 20cm in length. They have a glossy black plumage with iridescent purple and green highlights, particularly visible in the breeding season. They also have a sharp, pointed bill, and long, slender legs. In the winter months, their plumage becomes spotted with white, giving them a distinctive look. European Starlings are known for their impressive mimicry skills, able to mimic the songs of other birds and even human speech.
